AFINGO FASHION FORUM

On May 5th at the California Market Center in LA was the AFINGO Fashion Forum.  It was absolutely so interesting and I am so glad I got to go.  My "boss" was out of town and couldn't attend so me, the lucky little intern got to go in her place.  It was a great experience and as I said, I learned so much about the design aspect of fashion.
Being that it's not my speciality I was a little apprehensive about going but it was all worth it in the end and I got to network, which is always great!

Ready To Launch Your Line?
Sustainability & Philanthropy
Red Carpet Culture
West Coast Style
Looks like a lot of information I'm sure, but it was so interesting.  My two personal favorites were Sustainability & Philanthropy and West Coast Style.  Being from Orange County I can relate to having that "surfer" inspired lifestyle.  I also enjoyed the sustainability panel because last semester I actually wrote a paper about sustainable fashion and it taught me so much about the way consumers see "eco-friendly" clothes.  I myself am also trying to be more sustainable and have now found myself at second-hand clothing stores.  And you know the clothes aren't half bad! In fact they are cheaper and much more unique.  It was so great and I thank Macala for giving me the opportunity to go and learn so much.
